The Luncheon Optimist Club of Springfield was founded in 1958. The club meets every second and fourth Monday at 11:45 A.M. at Diamonds Buffet Restaurant located on S. MacArthur Blvd. The mission of our club is to bring out the best in Springfield youth while thinking of innovative ways to improve our community.  

On September 30, 2007 we installed our 2007-2008 officers at The Pasta House Restaurant. J. Christopher Smith is the club's President. Bill Shank will serve as the Vice President, with Ron Lanton as Secretary and Milton Wiggers as Treasurer. 

In addition to the new officers, current board of directors Bud Bartlett, Dan Greer and Carolyn Lanham will be serving one year terms while Dave Reinke, Ron Lanton and Harold Olsen will be serving two year terms.
